While exploring Touch Designer, I stumbled upon an interesting feature that allowed me to generate various shapes by typing on a keyboard with assigned letters. This discovery inspired me to undertake an ambitious project in which I wanted to represent the word “SELF” through typography visually.

As the project progressed, I decided to incorporate personal narratives by embedding individual stories into the typographic framework. However, a profound event caused me to take a step back and reflect. I felt compelled to express this deep-seated emotion because of remorse from certain life events. Then, I decided to type my name “MAHSHAD” as an input and receive “I AM SORRY” as an output with different variations of typography that generative visual programming language allows me to explore.

My creative exploration went beyond linguistic and emotional boundaries and encompassed cultural dimensions. In addition to English typography, I immersed myself in the intricate and rhythmic beauty of Persian letterforms, which enriched the scope of my design journey.
